Solo Exhibition - Clara Street Gallery

Fresh from the high of the Woollahra Mayor’s Award, I’m excited to invite you to my solo exhibition “AI*+Soul” at the Clara St Gallery in Erskineville.

As debate rages around the legitimacy of “art” made by or using artificial intelligence, this exhibition plays with the notion of “AI” and explores the role of *Anatomical Intelligence in enabling human connection through sculpture. *Anatomical Intelligence here means an understanding of human anatomy; how the parts of the body are arranged.

In considering these issues, we are quickly confronted with questions that are at once fundamental and daunting: Can “art” made by or using artificial intelligence have soul? Is *Anatomical Intelligence necessary to make sculpture with soul? What is art, sculpture and the soul anyway?

I certainly don’t have all the answers but it’s been a fascinating inquiry and I’m looking forward to continuing the conversation with you at the exhibition.

Hope you can make it!

PLEASE NOTE: Artificial intelligence was not used in the making of any of the sculptures being exhibited. All sculptures are strictly the product of AI*.

Exhibition travels to the Clifton School of Arts in the Illawarra in January 2027 (Fri 22-Sun 31).
